Bradenton and Sarasota have so many attractions and places to adventure. Here are 10 great places your little ones can play at, explore, and just have fun!

Mixon Fruit Farms

Take an informative and educational ride on the Orange Blossom Tram, where you’ll learn all kinds of interesting facts about Florida citrus and other tropical fruit. The Wildlife Rescue stop provides an enjoyable interactive presentation about the current rescued Florida animals, reptiles and birds.

Myakka River State Park

Myakka is an explorer’s paradise! There are 57 square miles of wetlands to explore, as well as a canopy walk!

Ann Goldstein Children’s Rainforest Garden

Open during regular hours at Selby Gardens, the children’s rainforest offers a delightful, natural space for discovery, exploration, learning and PLAY! In conjunction with nearby Kids’ Corner, there are hands-on, developmentally-appropriate activities and programs available on a regular basis.

Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium

Go meet their fish and their scientists. Their working aquarium gives you an up-close experience with a variety of marine animals and fish, including two touch tanks and a 135,000 gallon shark habitat. There are more than 100 species of marine life, and you can meet them all.

Bradenton Riverwalk

The Bradenton Riverwalk is a 1.5 mile walk along the Manatee River. There are many stops along the way. Right by the bridge is the skate park and beach volleyball courts. A little further down just before the train tracks is a fun splash pad. There is a pier for fishing. And there is even a new audio walking tour!

Sarasota Children’s Garden

Just north of downtown Sarasota, this is a hidden gem. The Children’s Garden & Art Center is a two acre garden that is both whimsical and enchanting. Keep your kids connected to nature & enjoy all of their art planting & nature programs each week!​ Programs are designed for kids of all ages, and are free with admission.

Sarasota Jungle Gardens

Hand feed the flamingos, gaze at the beautiful tropical gardens, and be wowed at the animal shows and petting garden.

Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary

The Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary is a large-animal rescue in The nonprofit sanctuary is a permanent home for dozens of exotic animals, offers placement for animals in need, and works to educate the public about animal care and conservation. All shows are free with admission.

Bayfront Park – Marina Jack Trail

This will be a hit with the kids (and a great break for the adults). There is plenty of space to run around. The Children’s Fountain will entertain them on warm days. Be sure to bring a towel! Enjoy a scenic park with amazing views!

G.T. Bray Park Recreation Center

This state of the art recreation center is right in our backyard! They have monthly and daily drop in rates. They have a fitness pool, kiddie pool and splash pad, numerous athletic fields, skate park and playground!
