Spring Baseball

Spring BaseballSpring is in the air, and with spring comes baseball. Spring Training is in full swing right now here in Florida. We are lucky enough to have several teams to cheer on. Right here at home we have both the Pittsburgh Pirates, at Lecom Park in Bradenton, and the Baltimore Orioles, at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota. Not too far from us we also have the Yankees at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa and the Tampa Bay Rays at the Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte.

Spring training gives a unique opportunity for fans to get an up close view of baseballs’ biggest stars.

There’s still time to catch a game before the teams go back home and start their regular season. If you’re looking for a promotional event, check out the Orioles schedule which includes “Kids Run the Bases”, and post-game fireworks on their last event. The remaining games for the Pittsburgh Pirates can be found here.

After the major league teams return to their home field ball parks, the baseball fun continues here in Bradenton with the Bradenton Marauders. Their opening game on April 8th is a “Pirates & Princesses Night” promotional event. This event features horse and carriage rides and live princess appearances. They have a 2016 FSL Championship Baseball give-away for the first 1000 fans, as well as post game fireworks! Check out the rest of the Marauders schedule and events here. Don’t forget, many of tomorrow’s stars are made today in the minor leagues. You never know, you may be watching the next big star!
