Updated Immunization Schedule for Birth through 6 Years

Immunizations are important to protect our children from disease and prevent the spread of disease. While some of the diseases may now be rare in the United States due to our immunization program, the diseases still exist elsewhere so immunization must continue. If we stop immunizing, these rare diseases will make a comeback like we recently saw with the measles.

An updated schedule of immunizations for children birth through 6 years is now available. This schedule is updated every year by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG National), and the CDC.
